Another cigar bar review from Cigar Lady Nile. This time, I’ve visited the Cigar Inn Jazz Club, in Belleville, Illinois.
Cigar Bar Review: Cigar Inn Jazz Club
The Cigar Inn Jazz Club, or often called the Cigar Inn, is conveniently located in downtown Belleville, within a few blocks of the beautiful fountain, that’s well known in the area. The address is at 119 W Main St, Belleville, IL 62220.
This place is small and cozy, and everything that gives it a jazzy feel. However, aside from live jazz, this cigar bar also showcases local area live blues music, and even has karaoke nights.
The humidor isn’t as big as a lot of the larger cigar bars, but it’s well stocked with some of the best cigars in the market.
If you don’t know what to pick, the bartenders and the owner, Chuck Hess, are really knowledgeable. In fact, if you’re a true cigar aficionado, you can pick Chuck’s brain, and you’ll be delighted to learn a lot from him.
If you like drinks, like the Old Fashioned, if Chuck is in, ask him to make you one. It’s fantastic!
As for the jazz, I’ve actually gone to the Cigar Inn Jazz Club a few times, and each time, there’s been a small trio of jazz players that really deliver a great jazz music experience. For this article, I attended on a Saturday night, which is karaoke night. A lot of the locals that came in to sing, were really fantastic, so if you didn’t come to sing, but just to listen and smoke a cigar, or a few, then you’d enjoy your time.
